Interested in your ancestry? Start your journey into the past by attending a meeting of the 'Genies'. This group meets every first and third Wednesday of the month to share invaluable research resources, tips, and tricks to help you complete a picture of your ancestry. No registration is necessary.

The Mayerthorpe Public Library is an affiliate FamilySearch library. This means that during your visit, you will be able to view most of's limited-access records. Library cardholders can use - Library Edition during a visit, and you may also be interested in Frontier Life or the Alberta Research Portal; access to these resources are provided with your library card in good standing on your device wherever you are.

MPL retains a large collection of town and county histories from many areas of Alberta and beyond. Stop in to page through history anytime. You do not need a library card to read from our collection while in the library.
